Your data. Yours alone.
Why "zero-knowledge" is more than a marketing claim.
A precise inventory.
What our servers CAN read
- Email address — account authentication and transactional emails.
- Family member display names — used in push notification titles so recipients know who sent an alert.
- Subscription status — whether your account is active, which plan you're on. Payment details themselves are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
- Device tokens (FCM) — identifiers used by Firebase to deliver push notifications. Not linked to your real-world identity.
- Aggregate session counts — anonymous totals with no per-user attribution.
What our servers CANNOT read
- Your locations — encrypted end-to-end; our servers relay encrypted payloads they cannot decrypt.
- Your messages — encrypted end-to-end; the content is opaque to our servers.
- Your SOS alert details — location and context are encrypted end-to-end.
- Your geofence configurations — live on your device only; never synced.
- Anything you do inside the app — no screen views, taps, navigation paths, time-on-screen, or behavioral analytics.
Four mechanical differentiators.
Can't read your data — by architecture.
Not by policy. Our keys cannot decrypt your content. This is a structural property of the system, not a promise we ask you to trust.
Nothing to sell.
Zero-knowledge means we couldn't build an advertising profile if we wanted to. We do not sell, monetize, or train AI on your data.
No manipulation.
No dark patterns. No urgency tactics. No streak mechanics. No nag modals. No "are you sure you want to leave" five times. This is a discipline.
No lock-in.
Cancel anytime — you keep what you paid for through period end. No refund games, no retention specialist, no surprise charges.
Architecture as choice, not coincidence.
We chose this architecture deliberately. The alternative — readable user data on the platform — is what every other family-safety app does, and the reason every other family-safety app is one breach or one policy change away from being the surveillance product its critics warn about.
The encryption is the discipline that makes the rest of the principles enforceable. Without it, the no-data-selling, no-manipulation, no-lock-in commitments would be promises. With it, they're properties.
